The Real Black Pearl, an emotional, explosive and fiercely entertaining look into Pearl Thusi’s life, is set to premiere on BET Africa.
The 10-part reality series follows Pearl as she embarks on a wild journey of healing and self-discovery.
Debuting on Saturday, November 9 at 18:30 WAT on BET (DStv Channel 129), The Real Black Pearl pulls back the curtain on Pearl to reveal the real woman behind the brand.
In The Real Black Pearl, audiences will experience a side of Pearl Thusi they have never seen before. Known as a fierce actress, successful media mogul, and glamorous public figure, Pearl now reveals the raw and unfiltered aspects of her life, embracing her personal growth, healing and self-discovery.
Throughout the season, she takes on the roles of a high-energy DJ, unapologetic single mom, and nature-loving spiritual seeker, offering fans a unique and authentic glimpse into her world.

Starring alongside Pearl are those close to her heart, including her daughter Thando, who is navigating her late teens with her parents’ celebrity baggage and working on launching her own podcast.
Pearl’s manager and occasional reluctant babysitter, Tank, her close family and her celebrity friends including Nadia Nakai, Reason and Gert-Johan Coetzee will also be part of the show.
