Talented musician, Ikpa Udo, lived up to expectation, delivering a thrilling performance that left the audience in awe at the Son of the Soil Concert held penultimate Sunday at Emerald Event Centre, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Packaged by Blown Stars Entertainment and Talent Bank Nigeria, the concert was a sold-out, with fans and music lovers trooping into the venue from different areas of the city, to witness the spectacle.
From the red carpet to the main event, it was a masterclass in entertainment, with the performing artistes bringing their A-game to the stage. What’s more, the audience was refreshed and entertained with Hero Lager and Cricova wines, and together with the heavy vibes from Ikpa Udo, kept them on their feet throughout the night.
Ikpa Udo, the headline act, was in top form, delivering a high-energy performance that showcased his impressive vocal prowess and captivating stage presence. The crowd sang along with him his hit songs like Ntom, Born With It, Ame Nwod, and Kpe.
The concert also featured special guest appearances by iconic guitarist, Fiokee and rave of the moment, Nasboi. Graham D flew in straight from his European tour, while Tossy Young who recently toured Africa, touched down in Uyo to add to the excitement of the evening.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment, David Sergeant (Utang Akwa Ibom), who represented the government, attended the show with his colleagues, Moses Eskor, Godfada Uko and Mary Afmay. Also present were Special Assistant to the Governor on Protocol, Bassey Archibong, and representatives of Hero Lager, Ibom Air, Cricova and Troost Ekong Foundation.
Ikpa Udo expressed gratitude to his fans and sponsors, saying: “I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the incredible support I received at the Son of the Soil Concert. It was an unforgettable night, and I’m so glad I could share it with my fans and friends.”
