To diligently serve its members in Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti States, the Musical Copyright Society Nigeria Ltd/Gte (MCSN) has opened a regional office in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Situated on Adamasigba Road in the city centre, the office commenced operation with an intensive training session organised for the newly recruited staff of the society on Monday, March 3, 2025.
The Chief Executive Officer of MCSN, Mr. Mayo Ayilaran, undertook the training session, while experienced and versatile copyright administrators piloted the new staff through a rigorous training regime that covers all aspects of copyright administration, especially licensing and enforcement.
With the commencement of operations in Ibadan, hoteliers, broadcasters and others who require the use of music in their businesses will no longer have to travel to the headquarters of MCSN in Lagos before having their licensing requirements met.
Speaking on the development, Ayilaran said it is the goal of MCSN to cover the country by opening at least 20 offices nationwide before 2027.
He added, “We have already started operations in Abuja, Kaduna and Kano States, while the Edo and Delta States’ agencies will metamorphose into a full blown regional office shortly. God willing, we shall surely meet our target of twenty offices nationwide by 2027.”
