The Chief Executive Officer/Executive Producer, Digital Interactive Media (DIM), Mr. Sola Fajobi, has revealed the reason he’s bringing back the family reality TV show, Supermom.

According to him, he has created several reality shows including Next Movie Star, D8 and Supermom, but the latter has seen viewers and industry giants asking for its return.

In his words: “The reason why I’m returning the show to the screen is not far fetched. Supermom is fulfilling to me because it’s designed to celebrate mothers. Supermom has celebrated several mothers across Nigeria including moms of Nigerian celebrities. Now, fans are excited – the reality television show is back, bigger and better!”

Fajobi stated further: “A lot of people believe that a mother is any woman who gives birth to a child. However, it is important to note that mothers come in different forms. There are mothers by birth, stepmothers, and mothers by adoption. But a real mother is someone who shelters, guides and cares for a child. She is a patient and virtuous woman who is always ready to do everything for her children.

“A mother is a woman who nurtures, cares for, and provides unconditional love to her children, whether biological, adoptive or otherwise. She often plays a central role in raising, guiding and supporting her children through various stages of life. Beyond biological ties, the term ‘mother’ can also symbolize someone who assumes a maternal role by offering care, protection and emotional support. And this is why I have decided to bring back the Supermom reality TV show.”

On his part, Abidemi Alli-Balogun, Brand Manager, Supermom, noted that the show is returning with a bang. According to him, the winner of the 2025 edition will get a brand new house, while the 1st runner-up will cruise away in a brand new car, and the 2nd runner-up will smile home with a cash prize.

Meanwhile, top local and international brands have shown interest in supporting the 2025 edition of the show.

With the crew already working in different locations, the show will kick off next quarter, and would air every weekend on at least 50 television stations across Nigeria.
