It was a spectacular award ceremony, one that will be remembered for a long time. It was the 4th edition of Nigerian Electronic Media Content Exhibition and Awards (NEMCEA) organized by the Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN), and held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
The event was a testament to EMCOAN’s dedication to promoting and rewarding superior content production across TV, radio and online platforms.
A significant focus of the evening was the celebration of those who laid the foundation for the creative sector. Screen veteran, Olu Jacobs and accomplished producer/director, Jimi Odumosu were the proud recipients of the prestigious Industry Pacesetter Award, marking their careers as benchmarks of excellence.
In the realm of strategic leadership, two influential women were also specially recognized. They included Mrs. Jibe Ologeh, former EMCOAN president, who received the Luminary Award for Content Creation and Leadership, and Ijeoma Onah, founder of Nigerian Film & TV Summit (NIFS), who got the Industry Trailblazer Award for her continuous efforts in shaping the industry’s future.
EMCOAN president, Adeniji Omirin, opened the proceedings by reiterating the permanence of the NEMCEA Awards, urging stakeholders to continue showing appreciation for authentic Nigerian stories and content.
NEMCEA 2025 Project Director, Alayande Stephen, reflected on the four-year journey of recognizing the best content and extended gratitude to all nominees, jury and sponsors who have supported the vision since 2022.
