A nationwide hunt for Nigeria’s brightest performing talents has begun in earnest.

This is coming ahead of the 2026 edition of World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) scheduled to hold in Las Vegas, United States, from July 13 to 21.
Spearheaded by Street2Fame Nigeria Performing Arts Entertainment, the initiative seeks to assemble ‘Team Nigeria’ for what is widely regarded as ‘Talent Olympics’.

The competition will attract participants from over 70 countries, showcasing skills in music, dance, acting, modeling, and other performance categories.
According to Lovethpatra, founder of Street2Fame Africa and Nigeria’s national director for WCOPA, the programme is designed not only to identify outstanding talent, but also to position Nigeria prominently on the global creative stage.
“This is more than a competition; it is a platform to empower young people and project the richness of our cultural heritage internationally,” she said.
Lovethpatra disclosed that auditions are open to participants across Nigeria and the diaspora through a virtual submission process. Successful applicants will advance to a series of weekly global showcases, culminating in the final selection of representatives for Team Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Street2Fame has called for partnerships with corporate organisations, government agencies, and cultural stakeholders to support the initiative.
