Leading proponent of arts development, edutainment, theatre and culture, TheatreMania Africa has collaborated with Corona Secondary School, Agbara, Ogun State for the Generation Next Theatre (GNT) initiative.

Designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional excellence in the creative sector, the 2-in-1 initiative would kick off on Thursday, June 4 at 4pm with Master Circle, an intensive mentorship session. This will be followed by the grand stage production of Whispers 4.0 on Friday, June 5 at 4pm.

Leading the mentorship and performance sessions are distinguished industry players including Dr. Sam Uche Anyamele fta., Bukola Thomas and Tomiwa Songonnuga. They will be joined by corporate leaders and creative experts like Julius Oyekanmi, Alayande Stephen, Paul Uwagbai and Dr. Ochuko Odesa, who will provide a multidisciplinary approach to student development.

“The GNT initiative is more than just performance; it is a laboratory for the next generation of African storytellers,” Alayande Stephen, Producer/CEO of TheatreMania Africa, shared. “By bringing industry players into the school environment, we are ensuring that these students receive practical, quality guidance that transcends the classroom.”

As the students of Corona Secondary School are set to experience a creative immersion of a stage production and well-curated mentorship session, GNT emerges as part of the activities leading to TheatreMania Africa Festival scheduled for October 27-29, 2026.

Commenting, Anyamele said: “Art is a tool for social engineering and personal growth. I am thrilled to be part of a project that prioritizes the mentorship of young minds, helping them find their voices through the discipline and magic of the stage.”
