Thursday, May 7 was a memorable day as Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) ushered in a fresh era of leadership.

In an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared vision, the association conducted its elections and produced a powerhouse team of media big shots who ready to navigate the evolving landscape of digital and terrestrial content.

The newly elected executives were sworn into office by iconic industry figures and Board Of Trustee (BOT) members, Agatha Amata of Inside Out Media and veteran actor/producer Emeka Ossai, signaling a seamless transition of power and renewed commitment to the association’s mission.

Led by returning president, Adeniji Omirin, the exco brings together a wealth of experience across the media spectrum. From the strategic oversight of Alhaja Aminah Muhammad as the vice president, bringing to fore multiple years of experience of Alayande Stephen as returning General Secretary, to the broader cabinet members, the team represents a blend of innovation and tradition.

Mrs. Adeola Dada emerged the Assistant General Secretary as Dr. Anita Agarry-Oke returned for the 5th time as Financial Secretary. While Mrs. Elizabeth Ehigiamusoe was voted the Treasurer, Mr. Sebastine Okoromi took over the position of Public Relations Officer (PRO).

The other two executives are Hajia Latifah Dele-Lawal, Social/Welfare Secretary, and Mrs. Stella Maris Duru, Assistant Social/Welfare Secretary.

In his remarks, Adeniji Omirin said, “Our commitment remains steadfast: to protect the interests of our members, as well as electronic media content creators in Nigeria while driving innovation in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.”
