After releasing three albums simultaneously, Canadian rapper, Drake continues to dominate the music world.

On May 15, Drake dropped Iceman, alongside two projects, Habibti and Maid of Honour, delivering a total of 43 tracks spanning nearly two and a half hours, and featuring collaborations with artistes like Future, 21 Savage, and Sexyy Red.

According to Spotify, Drake emerged the platform’s most-streamed artiste in a single day for 2026. “Iceman claimed the record for the most-streamed album in a single day this year, while the lead single, Make Them Cry set the mark for the most-streamed song,” the statement reads.

Iceman recorded around 140 million streams on its first day, marking one of the biggest album debuts on the platform in 2026.

The development ignited immediate conversation around the world. The White House official account went viral after posting Drake’s Iceman album cover with the caption “ICED OUT,” drawing massive engagement and reactions across platforms. Popular sports accounts, including those linked to NFL teams like the New York Giants, amplified the buzz with promotional nods and fan engagement tied to the rollout.

Chart enthusiasts and fans flooded timelines with reactions, memes and data breakdowns, with discussions highlighting how the surprise drop briefly strained streaming systems due to overwhelming demand.

In a post shared by Pop Base on X on May 16, the rapper was seen with an autographed Michael Jackson glove in his Instagram story, amplifying comparisons between Drake and the late King of Pop.

Drake recently surpassed Jackson as the artiste with the most albums, each spending over a decade on the Billboard 200. His projects Take Care (2011), Nothing Was the Same (2013), and Views (2016) have logged more than 520 weeks on the chart, a feat no other artiste, including Michael Jackson, has matched with three titles.

Indeed, the new works add to Drake’s remarkable chart run, with all three albums occupying the top spots on platforms such as Apple Music and iTunes in the United States.
