After the Lagos presentation of 999, the autobiography of Charles Oputa aka Charly Boy, arrangements are in top gear for the book to embark on a global tour in October.

Showbizafrika gathered that the voluminous memoir might be heading for London, Germany and other EU cities for a glamorous launch. According to a source, some African countries including Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and Rwanda are also expected to host the book presentation after the Europe showcase.

Already, Nigerians including fans of the self-acclaimed Area Fada in the Diaspora are warming up to receive the tell-all-book, which was presented at the prestigious Alliance Francaise (Mike Adenuga House), Ikoyi, Lagos, last month.

Asked about 999’s global tour, Charly Boy said excitedly: “Yes, my autobiography, 999, is embarking on a world tour in October after its successful outing in Lagos. My ‘father’ Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is setting up a new itinerary of tours for the book.

“Do you know that he has started signing invitation cards to invite his international and diplomatic friends to the presentation in London, Germany and other EU countries? He believes there are big lessons to be learnt in the book. Other African presidents close to Baba Obasanjo are also urging him to bring 999 to them. And we shall answer their calls.”

In recent times, Charly Boy’s 999 has become the talk-of-the-town in Nigeria, as its Lagos launch attracted the crème de la crème of the society.
