There is excitement in the air as Jazzhole, Ikoyi, Lagos will on Sunday, September 29 play host to a special launch of two vinyl albums, Eroya and Asiko Tito, from veteran musicians known as Faaji Agba.
The event is being organised by Jazzhole Records in conjunction with Studio Monkey Shoulder and Worldwide FM.
Performing at the album launch are octogenarian saxophonist, flutist and Afro-funk legend, Prince Eji Oyewole alongside Afrobars/Afrobeat pianist, philosopher and vocalist Duro Ikujenyo, as well as Afro-soul singer and composer, KunNiraN and his Afara Oyin Star Band.
A statement from the organisers reveals that the historical compilation album project was conceived in 2004 and is anchored by Jazzhole Records. It consists of 16 well-produced and arranged tracks, composed by talented and versatile musicians collectively known as Faaji Agba.
