For cocktail lovers, music enthusiasts and socialites who gathered for the grand finale of Lagos Cocktail Week at Balmoral Convention Centre on Friday, October 24, it was a celebration that delivered everything: fun, rhythm, flavour and flair.

From the moment the doors swung open, the energy was electric. A lineup of deejays, including reality TV stars Wanni and Handi, kept the crowd moving from sunset to after-party.

With DJ Blondie and several other talented DJs spinning high-tempo beats, and Jimmie Akinsola hyping the crowd with his trademark charisma, the Lagos Cocktail Village pulsed with pure Lagos spirit: loud, colourful and irresistibly fun.

The Bar Battle was another crowd favourite, turning mixology into a spectator sport as bartenders faced off in high-energy rounds of skill, speed and creativity. The competition drew cheers from every corner, setting the perfect tone for what became an all-night celebration of cocktail artistry and nightlife culture.

Amid the music and laughter, guests took time to explore a variety of unique drink experiences, and one name that had many talking was Highland Park. The single malt Scotch whisky brand served up distinctive cocktails that balanced smoky sweetness with a touch of sophistication, perfectly matching the mood of the night.

Between dance breaks and friendly conversations, guests could be seen raising their cups, savouring the craftsmanship that Highland Park is known for.

As the beats got louder and the crowd looser, one thing became clear, this wasn’t just an event; it was a full-blown Lagos experience. A night where cocktail culture met creativity, and where brands like Highland Park added just the right touch of refined indulgence to a city that knows how to have a good time.

Lagos Cocktail Week 2025 might have ended, but its grand finale left an aftertaste of great music, inspired mixology, and a reminder that Lagos nightlife, much like a well-crafted whisky, only gets better with age.
