The launch, which was hosted by media personality, Deji Osikoya, drew notable Nollywood stars like Tobi Bakre, Nancy Isime, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Timini Egbuson, and Banky W, among others.

Produced by She Tank Studios, a division of the global culture lab, The She Tank, the podcast seeks to challenge traditional notions of manhood and promote a culture of empathy, vulnerability and emotional awareness among men.

“True gender equality requires men’s active participation,” Blessing Omakwu, co-executive producer and founder, The She Tank, said, “MENtality is about opening up the difficult conversations that society often avoids but are essential for real progress.”

A key highlight of the evening was the Women Talk Back panel that featured Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi and Tolu ‘Toolz’ Oniru-Demuren, who discussed themes such as love, identity and the financial pressures faced by Nigerian men. Their candid conversation drew lively audience reactions and ignited discussions across social media.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the renowned host of Big Brother Naija, underscored the purpose behind the podcast. “Too often, men are confined by outdated ideals,” he said. “MENtality provides a safe space for men to speak openly about their struggles, fears and personal growth – without shame.”

Co-host, Banky W, added: “We’re moving beyond toxic masculinity to foster a more honest and hopeful understanding of manhood – one conversation at a time.”

Guests were treated to an exclusive preview of the debut season, which features in-depth conversations with cultural figures like Seun Kuti, Johnny Drille and Timi Dakolo. The episodes blend storytelling with unfiltered dialogue, exploring what it truly means to be a man in today’s Nigeria.
