The 2024 edition of Wale Olomu Memorial Awards (WOMA) will be spotlighted by a 2-part event series, designed to highlight critical issues in the Nigerian entertainment industry and honour trailblazers.

This was made known during the week by the awards’ Steering Committee. According to a signed statement, the first event, a Roundtable Discussion, will feature prominent speakers addressing the theme: ‘Building Broad-Based Safety Nets for Veteran & Indigent Practitioners’.

The speakers include Mike Okri, iconic musician renowned for evergreen hits such as Time Na Money and Rhumba Dance, Foluke Daramola-Salako, acclaimed Nollywood actress and activist, deeply committed to humanitarian causes within the industry, and Oluwaseun Ajasa, legal expert and Managing Partner at Abraham, Thompsons & Co.

Femi Akintunde-Johnson (FAJ) and Tokunbo Ojekunle will host the event live on TopRadio 90.9 FM during The Vintage Talkshow tomorrow, Saturday, December 14, 2024. Time is 7:30am. It would also stream live on Facebook and YouTube.

However, the second part of WOMA 2024, the Special Recognition & Life Achievement Awards, will hold the following week, honouring exceptional contributions to the growth of the entertainment industry.
