After blockbusters like Shanty Town and Slum King, Nigerian filmmaker, Chichi Nworah is set to enchant movie lovers with her latest cinematic masterpiece, My Fairytale Wedding.

A trilogy, My Fairytale Wedding will debut on Africa Magic Showcase on October 20 at 8pm, according to a post on her Instagram handle, @chichinworah

The limited series features a talented cast and stunning visuals, showcasing Nworah’s signature style. The star-studded cast includes Ramsey Noah, Carolina Hutchings, Ini Edo, Kanayo O Kanayo, Daniel Etim, Uzor Arukwe, Lilian Esoro, Mercy Eke, Tina Mba, Ayo Mogaji, and Vine Olugu among others.

My Fairytale Wedding is produced by Chinenye Chichi Nworah and Taiwo Adebayo, and directed by Dimeji Ajibola. Written by Mrxavierighorodje, Great Opara and Owumi Ugbeye, the movie is based on an original story idea by Chichi Nworah.

Reputed for her high-octane action films, Nworah is exploring the romantic genre this time, bringing a new touch of flair to this popular Nollywood niche. “We’ve been cooking this in the kitchen with some amazing people. And we’re finally ready to show the world,” Chichi said on her Instagram post, adding, “After we delivered Shanty Town and Slum King, I thought, let’s do something for the lovers out there.”

Given the success and critical acclaim of Shanty Town and Slum King, there is much anticipation for My Fairytale Wedding. While the plot’s details remain under wrap, it is safe to assume that the series will continue to explore the complexities of life in Lagos, albeit with a more romantic focus.
