Popular music reality show, Nigerian Idol, is back for its 10th season!
Starting on April 20, 2025 with the theme: ‘Your Voice, Your Victory’, the season 10 promises a showcase of exceptional talent, compelling performances and intense competition, as contestants vie for the ultimate prize.
The season’s panel of judges is a rich blend of experience and fresh insight. Returning this year is powerhouse vocalist, Omawumi whose wealth of industry expertise will fuse with that of Ric Hassani who is reputed for his soulful sound and artistry.
Joining the duo, for the first time, is award-winning singer and energetic performer, Iyanya whose journey from a talent show wannabe to music star adds perspective to the judging table. And wait for this, veteran host, IK Osakioduwa will step onto the stage to direct affairs and guide viewers through the competition, bringing onboard his signature charm and engaging presence.
Speaking on the significance of the 10th edition, Dr. Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa, MultiChoice, said Nigerian Idol is more than just a competition; it is a platform that transforms lives.

Since its revival in 2021, Nigerian Idol has grown into one of the country’s most anticipated music shows, helping young Nigerians chase their dreams.
This year’s edition of Nigerian Idol premieres on Sunday, April 20 at 7pm on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151, GOtv channel 12) and Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154, GOtv channel 2).
Immediately after the premiere, however, the Idol Extra channel (DStv channel 198, GOtv channel 49) would go live. With this, fans can get a 24/7 coverage, with exclusive content including auditions, backstage moments, and more.
