After a long hiatus, UK-based Nigerian artist, Dapo Aiyegbusi aka Daayuur, is set to come out with a new project.
Daayuur, who is one of Nigeria’s musical exports, boasts hit songs including She Carry, You Bad, Obi, and African Woman.
The dark-skinned, lanky artist admitted that his absence from the scene was not borne out of carelessness, but a move made in the interest of his craft and teeming fans.
Daayuur dismissed all kinds of meaning that have been adduced to his temporary absence, saying his in-and-out of studios was a way of improving his craft and serving his fans better.
The singer disclosed that he has recorded some songs that led him to different destinations, working with various music experts to achieve perfection.
“It’s true that I have been quiet for some time, but all is for good.” Daayuur noted. “I have actually been working on a new project. I have a few singles that are being cooked, and the making has made me travel to different places as well as work with a number of great hands.”
While maintaining that the project is still under wraps, he promised to keep the public updated, even as Christmas and New Year festivities are fast approaching.
A model and entrepreneur, Daayuur, being among the top artists in the United Kingdom, performs at major events, most especially in the Black communities.
