Several gospel artistes alongside ministers of God recently stormed Alagbado, Lagos in a show of praise, worship, charity and evangelism.
Tagged: ‘One Jesus, One Church, Hallelujah’, the 24-hour Street Gospel Movement of Love World Film and Arts Department, featured lots of activities including medical outreach where many elderly people got free treatment and medication, while children also went home with gifts and bibles. There were equally live performances, deliverance, healing, testimonies and salvation of souls.
Led by Rev. Tom Amenkhienan, other ministers of God at the event were Senior Prophet Adetuberu, Pastor (Mrs.) Awokemi Awofadeju, and Pastor (Mrs.) Sholayinka Agboola. Gospel artistes that performed at the concert included Testimony Jaga, Akpororo, KMK Abiola, Dare Justified, Esther Igbekel, Dre-stick, Tosin Alao, DJ Maxwell and Bishop Chikancy.
The convener, Testimony Jaga, a protégé of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy, is known for impacting the lives of others through social welfare and music.
According to him, “I was someone who was rejected and all hope was lost. But, one day, on this same field, I had an encounter with Jesus Christ through flyers and the help of my spiritual father, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, and I became born again.
“There are lots of Jagas out there who don’t believe they could be somebody that will be useful to themselves, their community and their nation. Secondly, I see people doing drugs, fighting, have nothing to feed on, especially in this economy of the country; there’s no joy and most people’s hope is lost. I do this to bring joy and smiles to people’s faces, while receiving the word of God, the same word I received that brought joy and salvation to my life.”
On his part, Senior Pastor Adetuberu said: “I knew Testimony Jaga for a couple of months and I knew he was a person that had passion for giving. He has been doing this for years now, and God has made this to be consistent, annually. Next year, I pray God will spare everyone’s life and it will be bigger than this.”
