Sixteen families are set to contest for the grand prize of N5 million and fully equipped kitchen worth N10 million in the 3rd edition of Family Dream Game Show.

According to the organisers, Bafot Studios, Golden Penny Pasta and Lifemate Nigeria, the family entertainment show is premised on the fact that any family that manages its budget effectively will achieve its dreams faster.

Category Marketing Manager, Pasta, Foluke Makinde said since the show is about family and the Pasta brand is also about family, they intend to ensure that families enjoy themselves.

“Cooking is a key element in the family and no family can exist without food. So, we are bringing that to the show this year. We are going to see lots of cooking in this edition,” she promised.

Speaking on their support for the show, Lifemate Furniture’s Media Manager, Orebayo Ejiemhen, said: “It’s part of our corporate social responsibilities to give back to the society, and for our love and care for the Nigerian families.”

Executive producer and show creator, Oludare Onasanya, said the Family Dream Game Show was initiated around the family, which is considered core in every society. He added that peace, prosperity and unity would follow if the family succeeds. “We are auditioning hundreds of families in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt where 16 families would be selected for the TV game show. We believe that a family that makes decisions together, where the man does not spend without consulting the woman and children, will achieve its dreams faster. This show is a simulation of real life where families manage their budgets, and the family with the highest amount in their bank account during the show, wins,” Onasanya disclosed.

He added: “The dream prize in every season changes. It could be a dream car, a dream vacation next season. In this season, N5 million injected into any family will help put a smile on its face. The economy is not the reason for the change of prize.”

Dickson Oyetayo and wife, season 2 winners who were present during the Lagos audition, said they came to show support and encouragement to participating families.

On her part, Mrs Oyetayo said, “At first, I was doubtful but as the show progressed, it became real to me. I never believed I would win a house in my life. I want to encourage other families to put in their best, because the show is real.”

The show’s host, Badia Olowu aka Ill Rhymz, said: “This is not just a TV show, it’s our way of touching lives. Who says you can’t have fun as a family and share that true warm Nigerian feeling with the world? We are amazing people, and I am glad we get to put this on display again on season 3 of the family game show.”
