Lanre Da Silva Ajayi (LDA) pulled all the plugs recently as she celebrated two decades of redefining African luxury and haute couture excellence.

The grand Lagos showcase also witnessed the unveiling of LDA’s Spring/Summer 2026 (SS26) Anniversary Collection, a display of intricate detailing, regal silhouettes, and the refined femininity she’s known for.

Since debuting on the fashion scene in 2005, LDA’s journey has been that of resilience and consistency.

Her unique ability to blend creativity with African identity is not only legendary; it’s second to none.

Over the years, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi has emerged one of Nigeria’s most influential designers, celebrated for her craftsmanship, ingenuity and bold creativity.

While Waje set the tone for the anniversary evening with a soulful performance, the magnificent cast of Dabota Lawson, Idia Aisen, Nancy Isime, Sabrina, Aduke Shittabay and Beauty Tukura later ignited the runway with their star power and panache. And as the final looks of the anniversary collection glided down the runway, Tiwa Sawage sealed it with a powerful delivery of tuneful songs and energetic choreography.

However, a major highlight of the evening was the screening of a documentary beautifully crafted to capture LDA’s humble beginning, challenges, brand evolution, and unwavering commitment to her craft. The visual is a powerful reminder of the vision and profound impact of a designer whose work continues to define African fashion and inspire generations.

Produced by Elizabeth Elohor of Beth Model Management, the event attracted an impressive array of industry stakeholders, creatives and fashionistas including Don Jazzy, Toke Makinwa, Mercy Eke, Omowunmi Dada, Chioma Good Hair, Iyabo Ojo, and Osas Ighodaro, amongst others. Reflecting     on      her     20-year odyssey, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi said: “Fashion has always been my way of documenting our stories, who we are, where we come from, and the possibilities ahead. These 20 years have been a journey of discipline, evolution, and grace. Tonight is not just about the past, but about the future we’re creating.
