For winning the Grammys, Afrobeats diva, Temilade Openiyi aka Tems, has been soaked in congratulatory messages.

From Africa to Antarctica, Asia to Australia, Europe to the Americas, the Nigerian music industry, particularly Afrobeats, has become a source of national pride, promoting a sense of identity and self-expression while uniting people across borders, he said.
Tinubu also congratulated other Nigerian artistes: Yemi Alade, Asake, Wizkid, Lojay, Davido and Burna Boy nominated for this years Grammy Awards. He thanked them for putting Nigeria on the global map of great achievers in the music industry, and for showcasing the countrys creative excellence.

In his congratulatory message, the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, attributed Tems win to her exceptional talent and dedication.

This historic achievement marks her as the first Nigerian artist to win in this category, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication.

On his part, former presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, celebrated Tems achievement and also commended the remarkable success of Nigerian youth in the entertainment industry.

Tems won the award with her hit song, Love Me JeJe, beating Higher by Burna Boy, Tomorrow by Yemi Alade, MMS by Asake ft. Wizkid, and Sensational by Chris Brown ft. Davido and Lojay.
This marks the singer’s second Grammy award.
