For gourmets and connoisseurs, it was a celebration of culinary and beverage excellence, as Nigeria’s foremost financial institution, Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO), drew the curtain on this year’s edition of its Food and Drinks Festival.
The festival, which held from Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28 at GTCentre, Plot 1 Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, was a display of an array of sumptuous cuisines and exotic drinks, culminating in the celebration of the diverse cultural heritage of the nation.
A delight to foodies and connoisseurs, attendees were treated to mouthwatering traditional and continental dishes as well as exquisite drinks – curated by worldclass chefs and professional mixologists respectively.
In addition, there were cooking demonstrations, interactive workshops and master classes conducted by topnotch chefs from around the world including Lisa Brooks, Maunika Gowardhan, Angel Vasquez, Jean Novelli, Ryan Mitchell and Tom Parker-Bowles. Others were Aldo Zilli, Bunny Young, Robin McBride, Gale Gand, and Bo & Dylan.
A major highlight of the festival, however, was the non-stop music, gyration and unparalleled funfair at the open ground of the venue.
