Team Sizzle, comprising actress Scarlet Gomez and comedian Layi Wasabi, has emerged winners of Overall Best Celebrity Showdown. This is coming after six weeks of exhilarating entertainment filled with laughter, surprises and thrilling challenges.
Team Sizzle’s stellar performance earned it a cash prize of N10 million – to be donated to a charity or cause of its choice. Runners-up such as Team Litty and Team Vibes walked away with N5 million each, which will also be directed to their preferred charities.
The Bailamos Dance Group kicked off the grand finale with a mesmerising performance that set the stage on fire with brilliant colours and intricate dance moves, transporting the audience into a real-life carnival.
The night then featured a series of thrilling challenges, beginning with the intense ‘Ball Throw’, where participants had to aim a basket while blindfolded. There, Team Sizzle’s precision earned it a decisive victory, scoring 12 points.
The tension continued to mount with the second game of the night, ‘Limbo’ with Team Sizzle and Team Vibes locked in a fierce battle, ultimately tying with six points each. But it was the electrifying finale of the ‘Mime it Like You Own It’ game that sealed Team Sizzle’s fate. Miming hits from iconic artistes, the teams gave it their all. However, Team Sizzle’s rendition of Kizz Daniel and Davido’s ‘Twe Twe’ stole the show, securing its well-deserved victory.
Team Sizzle may have claimed the coveted Overall Best title, and though fans thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, spectacle and suspense over seven weeks, the true victory lies in the fact that all winnings go towards a worthy cause, making the game show a win-win situation.
