Exceptional individuals making waves within the African Diaspora have been honoured at this year’s Savvy Initiative Recognition Awards (SIRA).
The prestigious award ceremony, which held at The Keep Memory Alive Event Center in Las Vegas, United States, celebrated talented industry leaders, spotlighting their impacts, positive representations, advocacy, innovation and community engagement.
According to the Savvy Initiative’s CEO/Founder, Agod Savage, SIRA is not just an awards ceremony, it is a vibrant celebration of talent and potential that inspires others to strive for greatness.
The evening featured a series of inspiring keynote speeches, as the awardees were recognized for philanthropic endeavours, outstanding achievements, honourary awards, impact in history and entertainment.
The awardees include Almaz Negash, CEO/Founder, African Diaspora Network; Irene Xanderena, healthcare advocate; Joyce Agbanobi, data analytics expert; Bola Adeniyi, cybersecurity expert; J Hackett, social scientist and entrepreneur; Femi Ojo, coach and project management expert, and Coach J, who was awarded for his influence in technology and humanitarianism.
Hosted by Frank Edoho, it was a memorable evening as each recipient’s story reflected the incredible talent and potential within the African community.
Emphasizing the mission of Savvy Initiative, Savage said: “Our goal is to spotlight the brilliance within our community and provide a platform for these incredible stories to be heard. Savvy Initiative is a non-profit on a mission to empower lives through knowledge, community, and recognition. It’s diverse programmes including ‘eMentor’ connecting people worldwide, ‘Youth Tech Connect’, inspiring high schoolers, and ‘empowHER’ supporting young girls in Nigeria, nurturing talent and driving positive change,” she declared.
